Operating principle:
The YGS and YGX bidirectional automatic self-align Idlers have a waist drum shape Idlers on both sides. The tension from the belt ensures the widest point on the waist drum shape Idlers, b and b1, has the same speed as the belt. Other parts of the roller (a,a1,c,c1) slide on the belt surface.
As the YGS and YGX bidirectional automatic self-aligning Idler has a symmetrical shape, when the belt is in the middle, the friction on both sides are equal, therefore in an equilibrium state. The rotation direction of the Idler is the same as the running direction of the conveyor. When the belt is misaligned, one side of the Idler where the belt takes more space has higher friction then the other side, force the legs to rotate and the rotation direction of the supporting Idler angle with the belt operating direction. This angle will create forces M and N, leads to the belt restores back to the middle position and reform the equilibrium.
