Kamra was supposed to perform at Studio Xo bar in Gurugram Sector 29 on September 17 and 18.
Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra’s upcoming show in Gurugram was cancelled after protests led by Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal on Friday.
Kamra was supposed to perform at Studio Xo bar in Gurugram Sector 29 on September 17 and 18.
Vishva Hindu Parishad submitted a letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram and demanded to cancel Kamra’s show. The right-wing outfit argued that the comedian mocks Hindu deities which may lead to a tense situation in the district.

The VHP and Bajrang Dal also threatened to protest and sabotage the show if it was not cancelled before it starts. The memorandum submitted by the right-wing outfits read that the show should be cancelled with immediate effect.
Reports said a few members of both the outfits also went to the bar where Kunal Kamra’s show was scheduled and asked the bar management to cancel the show.
A report in The Indian Express says the general manager of Studio Xo Bar said they have decided to cancel the show as they don’t want any trouble. The management further informed that two Bajrang Dal activists visited the bat and threatened to disrupt the show. The activists objected to the show and said they won’t allow it to happen. The bar spoke to the comedian, police, and owners and cancelled the show.
Last month, Delhi Police cancelled Munawar Faruqui’s show which was slated for August 28 in the capital. The central district police said the show will affect communal harmony in the area. The show was scheduled to take place at the Dr SPM Civic Centre, Kedarnath Sahni Auditorium, from 2 pm to 9:30 pm.
Both Kunal Kamra and Munawar Faruqui landed in trouble earlier for their controversial comedy. Faruqui was arrested in Indore for allegedly making fun of Hindu Gods in one of his stand-up comedies.

Several other billionaires like Byju’s Raveendran, Jockey MD Ashok Genomal and Big Basket co-founder Abhinay Choudhari also live in the same locality. And one can just think about the people belonging to the lower class, if such billionaires are facing difficulties during the the catastrophic Bengaluru floods.
And as nature sees us all as equal, the population living in Epsilon had to be evacuated in boats. Moreover, all the of Bengaluru wealthy residents living in their multi-million dollar residences are now living without water or electricity as a result of torrential rain.
However, food and evacuation operation are being held in the city and Bengaluru’s civic body is being blamed for not being prepared even after heavy rain triggered floods in the IT city. It been four days, since things turned ugly in the city and despite every effort from the state government, people are still under dangerous situations.
Moreover, as soon as the video of a man swimming inside his living room went viral on social media, tweeple started to note funny but unusual things from the clip. Like a cylinder floating and living room full of water despite no water visible outside the window and etc.
