WORCESTER — Leominster-based manufacturer Solvus Global was nominated for Manufacturer of the Year during the seventh annual Manufacturing Award Ceremony at Worcester’s Polar Park.
Solvus Global was nominated by Sen. John J. Cronin (D-Lunenburg) for their work in advanced manufacturing.
“Solvus Global is a cutting-edge manufacturing firm and an invaluable contributor to our regional economy,” Cronin said. “Solvus Global not only provides world-class materials and services, but also high-paying jobs for residents of Leominster and the North Central region. I am proud to nominate them for the 2022 Manufacturer of the Year Award and look forward to the positive impact they will continue to have here in Leominster and across the region.”
“With an ecosystem of support from Sen. Cronin and other legislative leaders, Solvus Global will continue to stimulate development of advanced manufacturing technology while building up a skilled workforce to do more than get the job done — to brainstorm, problem solve, and collaborate. We are honored to be recognized as a nominee for the 2022 Massachusetts Manufacturer of the Year award,” explained CEO Aaron Birt.
Founded in 2017, Solvus Global is a technology-solution provider for materials and manufacturing, specializing in the areas of additive manufacturing, machine learning, and sustainable materials processing. Solvus Global seeks to create a positive impact on the world through the innovation, incubation, and transition of advanced manufacturing technology enterprises with an emphasis on the people that will lead them.
The Manufacturing Award Ceremony is hosted by the Legislature’s Manufacturing Caucus. Formed in 2014, the Manufacturing Caucus is made up of more than 60 state legislators and aims to increase access to training for manufacturing employees, help start-ups access resources and expand apprenticeship opportunities in key manufacturing sectors.
This was Solvus Global’s first nomination for Manufacturer of the Year after Aaron Industries was nominated for the region in 2021.
