HARRINGTON, DE – Edwin Gannon Jr.’s Sprocket ($4.20 Pat Berry) ended his string of second-place finishes Monday with a 1:51 score in the harness racing featured $20,000 Open at Harrington Raceway.

The Traci Berry-trainee was a front-end winner over Thornbush Hanover and Sun Of A Show, and achieved his 4th win of the year. The 7-year-old Sportswriter gelding has banked nearly $80,000 this year.

He had been on the lead at some point in each of his 3 races prior, all runner-up finishes in which he lost in photo finishes in two of the races.

Sprocket has had a career year that included a 1:48.2 win at Dover Downs earlier in the season.

Berry, Ross Wolfenden, Victor Kirby and Art Stafford Jr. each had driving doubles.
