An Aldi shopper has issued a warning to others about the checkout conveyor belts and a possible 'hidden danger'.
The Australian woman claimed an Aldi employee encouraged her to avoid placing fresh produce onto the electronic conveyor belts at the checkout.
The woman said the worker, who's a family relative, claims conveyor belts are only cleaned in the evenings and may lead to a contamination risk.
The shopper shared the warning after a woman posted an image of her vegetables touching the conveyor belt.

'Tip from someone who has a family member work at Aldi,' the woman wrote.
'Never put your veggies directly on the conveyer belt because they only get cleaned once at night at close and raw meat nearly always drips on them at some point in the day.'
Daily Mail Australia understands the conveyor belts at Aldi stores are cleaned regularly.
But regardless of where customers choose to shop, the supermarket encourages shoppers to wash their fresh produce before cooking or eating.

Washing your fruit and vegetables prior to eating them will eliminate or limit any physical dirt, insects and lingering debris lurking on the surface of the food.
The comment sparked a conversation among others and some admitted they never was fresh produce bought from the supermarket.
'I'm sure most people would wash vegetables before using them,' one person wrote in response.
'I never wash vegetables or fruit,' one woman said, and another added: 'Me neither.'
A Woolworths employee also explained how the staffed checkouts and conveyor belts are kept clean at her store.
'I know that when where on checkouts we always constantly cleaning the belt. If a junior is on and I'm on I definitely ask if they can do so,' the Woolworths staffer wrote.
'I hate when they look dirty thinking people putting their food on it!'
